Graphic Design/Branding

Graphic Design is one of the many disciplines that a Set Designer needs to master. In theatre, the set designer is often the person with the most extensive drawing skills, when a poster or logo is required, the set designer is frequently drafted to add that design.

Not on Broadway, of course, but in many smaller companies.

As such learning the principles of graphic design and familiarity with specialized software is as important as understanding the print process.

Graphic Design and Illustration are almost always a part of any television set design, corporate exhibit or museum exhibit. These are important elements in telling stories.
